includes characteristics that guide and manage all work towards the common purpose and goals of the organization. It
includes the common experiences, information, background, and values of a group. Technically, it is made up of
observable artifacts, espoused values, and underlying assumptions that shape the behaviors of an organization (Edgar
Schein). It is set by the leader, includes industry, location, and environmental requirements, and is sustained by all
members of the group. It reinforces and rewards relevant work towards group goals. Further, it is the internal brand that
supports your external brand to your market and customers.

Recent research and literature have reported that an organization's strength of culture is directly correlated to the
performance of the organization and its ability to deliver on its objectives and goals. A strong culture is
mission-oriented, consistent in its processes and practices, adaptable to change, and shares involvement with all its

Since organizations are made up of people who maintain the culture, it makes sense to ensure that they are engaged,
enabled, and empowered to create a strong, performance-oriented culture. They have strengths which must be nurtured,
decision-making capabilities to be leveraged, and should be considered the subject matter experts who are accountable
