WORKSHOPS |
The Art of Performance workshops help participants plan their own objectives and goals. The workshops use a unique methodology that fosters individual thinking and planning that is entrepreneurial in nature. The workshops provide specific business context and are then intended to maximize the characteristics of the 21st century workforce for expert decision-making and organizational performance. In each workshop, participants work on case study scenarios and then on their own realtime scenarios to maximize the value to their organizations. Managing Transitions This workshop helps participants in understanding the purpose and value of a change. The change is construed as a catalyst for innovation. Benchmarking and research on industry best practices provide a starting point for implementing necessary projects. Collaborative thinking and action planning are used to identify objectives and goals, resources and competencies needed, and timeline for implementation. Finally, a tangible implementation plan is designed by relevant subject matter experts. Employee Professional Development Employees are approached as important assets of the organization. This workshop ensures that their contributions to the organization are recognized for how they impact enterprise objectives and goals. Employee strengths are considered as an avenue to maximize the value of their contributions. Employees create professional development plans that include individual objectives and goals, development needs for current and future roles, and alignment to the organizational plan. Performance Management This workshop helps leaders and subject matter experts plan performance in a comprehensive way throughout the organization. All performance is planned in a cascading manner using milestones of performance for individuals, teams, functions, and enterprise objectives and goals to align to each other. Workflow and project definitions are also defined as they provide a foundation for identifying performance criteria. Business Writing and Communications Business communication principles and best practices are demonstrated in this workshop. Participants gain an understanding of a generic communications framework that focuses all writing and communications initiatives for action planning and results. Organizational Cultures Every organization has a culture. This workshop examines the nature of organizations and how leaders can create cultures for performance for all members, known as a people-centered organization (Miles Overholt, Building Flexible Organizations: A People-Centered Approach, 1996). This performance culture will foster and support the individual and independent activities of members to be entrepreneurial about their own objectives and goals and then those of their organization. Organizations in the 21st century must grow to survive and sustain themselves. Managing and ensuring this growth is challenging because of the rapidly and continuous changing environment that is encountered regularly. It is best managed through a strong culture. Partnership, Alliance, and Acquisition Management This workshop helps partnering companies work together to ensure a solid return on their investment. Acquirers identify their own objectives and goals and then evaluate potential partners' ability to help them attain these objectives and goals. Both companies then collaboratively plan how to integrate thinking and action to maximize the availability of new resources that this opportunity provides. Stages of valuation, integration, and operations are comprehensively explored and mapped for high return on investment. Entrepreneurship: Innovation Planning Creating an entrepreneurial environment is the topic of this workshop. Companies that create this environment use specific methodologies as systematic practices to foster innovative thinking for all members, including customers. These methodologies are explored as well as strategies to test feasibility of an innovative idea. Business planning techniques are also reviewed to learn how to create a compelling justification for implementing the innovative idea. |
